Heliot grows Sigfox network

Heliot Europe has integrated the Sigfox 0G network operations of WND UK and IoT Denmark. According to the company – which claims to be the largest exclusive Sigfox operator in Europe – it acquired both earlier this year.

Discussing the integration, a spokesperson said: “This reinforces Heliot’s Sigfox 0G network, and increases IoT growth opportunities in these countries. Customers will benefit from an even better, and seamless, European service, as Heliot Europe consolidates these businesses into its organisation and closely cooperates with its peers.

“Moreover, Heliot now confirms its position as the largest operator of IoT sub-gigahertz 0G-WAN infrastructure and supporting services in Europe. [It is] dedicated to fully supporting the convergence of sub-gigahertz radio protocols on its networks and in its geographies.”

CEO of Heliot Europe, Thomas Scheibel, said: "With existing professional network operations in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Liechtenstein, Heliot Europe is already well represented in the heart of Europe. This acquisition and expansion of network operations in the UK, Northern Ireland and Denmark is, therefore, the next logical step in our growth strategy.”
