Hytera announce new intrinsically safe radios

Hytera has launched a series of new intrinsically safe radios. Models include the HP79XEx, which is DMR-based, and PT890Ex, which is TETRA.

Discussing the products, a spokesperson for the company said: “Engineered to meet stringent IECEX and ATEX mandatories for explosion-proof equipment, these cutting-edge devices empower personnel with confidence in workplace safety. They efficiently communicate and collaborate with intuitive PTT calls, at potentially hazardous work sites”.

The spokesperson continued: “For professionals working in places with a potential risk of explosion, the IS performance and reliability of two-way radios is non-negotiable. The HP79XEx and PT890Ex [have multiple protective features], including explosion-proof material/battery and innovative IS circuits to eliminate electrostatic discharges, prevent sparks and ensure stable heat dissipation.”

According to Hytera, both models “excel” in extreme work temperatures, ranging from -25°C to 60°C. More information on the product spec can be found on the company’s website.
