BAPCO 2022 conference programme announced

The speaker programme has been announced for BAPCO 2022, which takes place between the 8–9 March at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Run across the course of the event’s two days, the BAPCO 2022 conference sessions will offer - in the words of its organisers - a "wide range of cutting-edge presentations, delivered by some of the most respected thought leaders in UK public safety comms."

Discussing the specific content, a spokesperson said: "As always, a massive draw will be the annual Emergency Services Network updates, with presentations delivered by the Home Office. Of particular interest will be ESN Programme Director John Black discussing operational assurance, as well as ESMCP operational evaluation lead Richard Morris, talking about how the programme is working with users in the run-up to network transition.

"Attendees will also learn about many other of the key issues facing the sector, for instance the role of ‘future’ technologies such as drones in public safety. Another highlight of the show’s two days meanwhile will be Enterprise BT Healthcare Innovation Director, Lucy Baker, discussing the delivery of technology to the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic."

BAPCO president John Anthony said: “2022 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting years in the history of the BAPCO event. The conference is full of world-class speakers discussing cutting edge technology, and strategic developments for the sector.

“Attending the BAPCO 2022 conference will enable visitors to learn about the most important developments in public safety communications, all for free. I can’t wait for people to experience it in March.”
