Connectivity specialist Colt Technology Services has announced its support for Google Cloud Partner Interconnect, a service enabling users to engage with the Google Cloud platform from any location.

According to the company, the Partner Interconnect product provides a direct link to the nearest Google edge point of presence, with subrate interface speeds ranging from 50Mbps to 10Gbps. It follows on from Google's Dedicated Interconnect platform, which was launched last September and aims to provide "higher-speed and lower cost connectivity than VPN."

Vice president product portfolio, Colt Technology Services, Peter Coppens said: "Our dedicated cloud access service provides customers with secure and reliable private network connectivity to Google Cloud services. It gives businesses a superior cloud networking experience when compared to the public internet, enabling an agile and on-demand cloud environment that is critical for customers’ digital transformation journeys.”

Colt Technology Services describes itself as "aiming to be the leader in enabling customers’ digital transformation through agile and on-demand, high bandwidth solutions." Alongside cloud connectivity, it also provides optical, Ethernet and IP services.
