Druid Software signs deal with Geoverse to exploit CBRS for enterprise users

Druid Software, an Irish cellular network software company has signed an agreement to with Washington State-based Geoverse in the US, to aid it in exploiting the availability of spectrum for LTE services resulting from the country’s Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).

Geoverse, an enterprise mobile network operator, is using Druid’s Raemis software to provide a dual-purpose private LTE network/neutral host solution. The former serves enterprises’ corporate level applications, while the neutral host provides mobile network operators (MNOs) with additional in-building coverage and capacity to serve their customers.

Raemis allows Geoverse to place the private LTE network’s mobile core at the network edge (Geoverse Edge EPC), where secure connections are made with enterprise networks giving enterprises full control over their users’ data. The Edge EPC also reduces latency, which is key for applications such as robotics and AR/VR. Geoverse is also using Raemis in combination with proprietary features to provide users of its solution with assured quality of experience.

“This quality of user experience is extremely valuable to building owners and enterprises as well as to the carriers. Druid’s long experience in enterprise networks provides a great foundation for our unique Private LTE solution,” said Roderick Nelson, CEO at Geoverse.
