Getac’s F110 fully rugged tablet to provide increased performance and multi-layer security

Getac has today (26 September) announced its fourth generation F110 fully rugged tablet, designed to meet the needs of field service professionals operating in the most challenging of environments

The 11.5 inch F110 combines the latest Intel 7th generation (Kaby Lake) processors and new multi-layer security features with a fully rugged design to create what Getac claims is the “highest performing and most secure” fully rugged tablet in the market.

The F110 supports a variety of security features built into Windows 10. Machine start-up monitoring and protection (with TPM 2.0) ensures the device is tamper-free before releasing control to the operating system, while BitLocker protects data at rest, in use and in transit. Opal 2.0 SSD’s advanced hardware-based self-encryption technology protects confidential data stored in the drive from unauthorised access.

In the event the system is lost or stolen, optional Absolute Data & Device Security (DDS) will allow it to be disabled remotely. The F110 also includes a range of multi-factor authentication options for more convenient and secure login, such as fingerprint reader, smart card reader and dual frequency RFID reader, as well as Windows Hello biometric recognition, Microsoft Passport and Credential Guard for additional protection.
