KT wins big at the 2019 5G World Awards

ZTE picked up the Leading Contribution to Network Slicing Award

KT, the South Korean operator scooped four categories at the 2019 5G World Awards, winning Best Network Automation Technology, Best 5G Commercial Launch, Most Innovative 5G Trial, and Telecom Service Innovation.

Huawei won both the Best 5G Core Network Technology and Revolutionary Network Densification Initiative categories, while ZTE won the Leading Contribution to Network Slicing Award at the 5G World Summit for its 5G slicing wholesale solution, which features slice SLA customisation, real-time KPI monitoring, and network slice lifecycle management.

The other winners were:

  • Accedian (Best Service Assurance Technology)
  • Netnumber (Best Network Security Technology)
  • Ooredoo (Best Telecom Digital Transformation Project)
  • SK (Best Edge Computing Technology)
  • Swisscom (Best 5G Network Development in Europe)
