Link Microtek adds HXI’s millimetre-wave components to its portfolio

Link Microtek, the Basingstoke-based supplier of RF and microwave components and subsystems, has expanded its portfolio of products with a range of millimetre-wave components for both military and commercial applications, following the signing of an exclusive representation agreement with HXI of Harvard, Massachusetts.

HXI – a wholly owned subsidiary of Renaissance Electronics & Communications – manufactures a wide variety of connectorised components covering operating frequencies from 20 GHz all the way up to 110 GHz, including low-noise amplifiers, high-power amplifiers, mixers, frequency multipliers, upconverters, switches and oscillators. In addition, HXI offers a series of standard 60 GHz and E-band digital radio links for point-to-point communications.

“We are delighted to have been appointed as HXI’s exclusive representative for the UK and Ireland,” said Stuart Hendry, Link Microtek’s sales director. “Their extensive product range fills a gap in our portfolio and will enable us to reach out to customers working on military or commercial millimetre-wave applications such as radar, avionics, satcom and space-qualified systems.”

“We are confident that signing Link Microtek as our representative will help us to achieve one of our key goals at HXI, which is to boost international sales,” said HXI’s business development manager Earle Stewart. “Link Microtek’s personnel clearly understand our technology and our target markets, and we look forward to developing an effective relationship with them over the coming months and years.”
