Developers singled out include German IT companies ESG, secunet and Stashcat, who received recognition for their respective collaborations with the emergency services. Stashcat is known for its work in the realm of instant messaging, while secunet develops security solutions.
Speaking of Airbus’ app development programme SmarTWISP, product business manager at the company Catalin Gheorghiu said: “While moving towards the next-generation communications solutions for public safety, we need creative partners.
“The Tactilon Dabat is the perfect reference point to use to develop applications, with multiple benefits for both users and app developers.”
The “recognition event” was held on the Airbus stand during PMRExpo 2017 in Cologne. The company’s first ‘critical app challenge’ will take place at the beginning of February in Munich, with results announced at Critical Communications World in Berlin in May.
