Across a three-year period, Airbus said it will supply 20,000 additional public safety users and industry stakeholders around India such as police forces, fire fighters, ports and airports with the ability to benefit from Airbus’ multimedia critical communication and collaboration platform.
The Airbus Tactilon Agnet application platform runs on desktops and standard smartphones as well as ruggedised devices to provide what the company described as “a future-proof mobile communication solution for customers with mission and business critical communication needs”. According to Airbus, the solution also harnesses emergency features such as emergency calls as well as location services with real-time user location tracking, which ensures faster response times during emergencies.
With the support of BSNL, Airbus said the Tactilon Agnet will give “smooth access to customers in the critical communications markets”.
BSNL Mobile has a pan-India presence with presence in all the 22 telecom circles in India and provides all of India services with roaming access, including Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, as well as International roaming access to more than 300 networks across the world.
The newly released XCover6 Pro smartphone has added features to pair with the Airbus Tactilon Agnet MCX solution in a move which the two companies claim will “enable mission and business critical communication to be successful in demanding conditions”.
