The scheme, which was launched in 2014, encourages businesses to adhere to best-practices in IT security. It requires that a variety of security controls are put in place across the business, something which the company believes is particularly important "as a supplier of innovative physical security and analytical technology."
A spokesperson for Axis said: "The accreditation is about more than securing a firm’s own IT systems. As the use of networked technologies such as IP surveillance and access control devices continues to increase in the UK, more data than ever is being processed and stored. In light of the impending EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), businesses are also beginning to pay more attention to the security credentials their suppliers possess."
