CW launches Discovering Automotive Start-Ups Competition

Cambridge Wireless (CW) is launching a new Discovering Automotive Start-Ups Competition, in collaboration with Magna International Inc., one of the world’s largest global automotive suppliers. Ten innovative start-ups or research institutions will be selected from the entrants to present their disruptive technologies and business plans to senior executives from Magna at the CW Future of Wireless International Conference on 21 June 2016.

The conference takes place in the middle of London Technology Week at the IET Savoy, London with the support from UKTI. Magna is one of the conference sponsors along with the likes of Intel, Cisco and Barclays.

“We want to identify a new, potentially untapped generation of innovators to help support Magna’s ongoing product development work in the connected vehicle market,” said Ian Simmons, vice president R&D, Magna International.

“Discovering Automotive Start-Ups presents an unparalleled opportunity for innovative start-ups to accelerate their growth in the fast-changing and dynamic automotive industry with the support and backing of Magna, one of the biggest names in the business,” says Abhi Naha, Head of Marketing and Business Development, at CW.

The ten short-listed finalists will each receive a free two-day entry pass to the FWIC 2016 Conference at the IET Savoy June 21/22 June worth £395.
