Freshwave expands Workspace partnership and covers 22 Bishopsgate

Multi-operator mobile service provider Freshwave has announced new deals with flexible office specialist Workspace and 22 Bishopsgate owner AXA Investment Manager to expand network coverage across several London locations.

Freshwave said it will provide carrier-grade voice and 4G data coverage for all four mobile network operators (MNOs) with an upgrade path to 5G across what AXA describes as “London’s first vertical village”.

By installing a digital distributed antenna system (DAS), Freshwave said it will develop a “unique commercial model” that enables 14 occupiers across 28 floors of the 278-metre tower to simultaneously connect to a 4G network on request in all areas of the building.

One of London’s newest skyscrapers, which completed in 2020, 22 Bishopsgate comprises 1.275m sq ft of occupier space over 62 floors with access to 150,000 sq ft of amenity and community spaces, including a food market, climbing walls and an active commuter park which includes the largest bike parking facility in London, all of which will have multi-operator coverage as part of the deal.
