According to Huawei, the full-stack data centre solution has been designed to “help enterprises embrace modern data centres” by leveraging the power of Huawei's full-stack capabilities from energy consumption to IT equipment. The solution has four key principals at its core: renew computing & storage, renew network, renew reliability, and renew green.
Chen Banghua, vice president (VP) of the Huawei Enterprise Business Group, introduced the latest practices of digital transformation in energy, finance and transportation that the full-stack solution would support as part of a launch speech.
“Huawei's full-stack data center [sic] solution leads the trend of cloud-based, intensive, and eco-friendly development, while Huawei's intelligent campus solution enables all-wireless access, network architecture renewal, and hyper convergence of IT infrastructure,” said Banghua. “Through continuous innovation in ICT and digital infrastructure, Huawei laid a solid foundation for the development of the intelligent world.”
In terms of the campus solutions, Huawei's has developed the AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 and IdeaHub to collaborate based on multimedia dispatching algorithms, allowing one-click meeting access, wireless screen projection, and video conferences with 4K video.
In the oil and gas industry, Huawei's all-optical sensing solution leverages optical sensing products, algorithms, and engines to help Shandong Jihua Gas implement intelligent pipeline inspection. The solution increases the risk detection accuracy to 97%, compared to the industry's next-best at 83%. With the solution in place, Jihua has improved pipeline security and management, reduced pipeline O&M costs, and made significant progress in its digital transformation journey.
In the future, Huawei pledged to “continue its efforts in developing innovative solutions” and practising sustainable development through the use of ICT, as well as building Digital Twin systems.
The full-stack data centre solution is the third key launch in recent weeks by Huawei with the comms giant having also released what it called the world's first ‘Giga Green’ 5G base station site, designed for “optimal energy efficiency and performance” as well as third generation TDD M-MIMO and FDD ultra-wideband multi-antenna solutions.
