MNO extends help to UK small businesses

Vodafone UK has announced what it’s calling a “broadband rescue package” for five million UK small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a statement, the offer will involve making the company's Unlimited Business Broadband and Microsoft 365 Business Standard free for six months. It can be taken up at any time within the next three months.

Speaking of the initiative, Nick Jeffery, CEO of Vodafone UK, said: “Our role in these challenging times is to keep the UK connected and help businesses return to work. Small businesses have been hit particularly hard by this crisis, and by reducing their costs we hope to help them get back on their feet and return to growth. A little financial help now will go a long way in the future.”

Paul McGann, managing director of marketing agency Cat Among the Pigeons said: “As a recent start-up, we were just three months into the business plan when government advised social distancing, and restricted all non-essential travel across the UK. With Vodafone’s broadband connectivity we’ve been able to carry out business as usual while working remotely.”
