New hotel Wi-Fi connectivity product announced

Cambium Networks has launched a new cloud-managed enterprise Wi-Fi wall plate access point, the cnPilot e430W.

The solution - which supports the 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi standard - is designed to facilitate connectivity at hotels and resorts, as well as multi-dwelling units. The wall mounted product includes multiple gigabit Ethernet (GigE) ports alongside wired port network access via managed portals.

Other features include BLE radio to enable presence-based services, a power over Ethernet (PoE) out-port for powering IP phone in the room, as well as pass-thru ports for connecting legacy equipment such as traditional phones or wired IP clients.

Speaking of the launch, Cambium Networks vice president of product line management Rad Sethuraman said: “The cnMaestro cloud platform offers hospitality solution providers access to built-in customisable guest access features, social login, and payment gateway features. These provide value by making it easier than ever for hotels to monetise their Wi-Fi networks while serving their guests with confidence.

“The e430W is a full feature in-room AP that is designed to handle the ever increasing demands that today’s hospitality guests place on hotel Wi-Fi systems.”
