The DJI Phantom 4, which is bedecked with 24-carat gold-plating, offers a range of features, including a remote controller, ‘intelligent’ flight battery, two sets of propellers, a 16GB micro SD card, and a gimbal clamp-mounted camera. According to the manufacturer, it can reach a height of up to 100m – with a maximum flight time of 28 minutes – and is controllable from up to 2km away.
The unit also includes sense and avoid technology to avoid mid-air collisions, as well as a smart ‘return home’ function.
Speaking of the project, business unit manager at Drones Direct Tim Morley said: “For those who want an exclusive one-off drone, the DJI Phantom 4 Gold Edition is perfect. It is the ultimate status symbol for the gadget-lover who wants something more bespoke.
“The impressive functionality allows them to survey their estate, supercar collection or explore off-the-radar territory while out sailing.”
