Survey: a third of employees have more faith in robots than their boss when it comes to decision making
Cloud services and artificial intelligence are the two ‘technology resources’ which British employees would most like to see incorporated into their daily working life, according training provider The Knowledge Academy. Just over a third of people meanwhile would like to see robots making business decisions instead of senior management.
As per the organisation’s analysis of a recent survey of 1,000 people carried out by business software firm Advanced, AI and the cloud appealed to 35 per cent each of respondents, with augmented reality coming in third with 17 per cent. Thirty-one per cent of people meanwhile were interested in the use of machine learning to analyse historical data in order to make predictions about future trends.
Interestingly, given the current debate on the future of human beings in the workplace, 18 per cent of respondents were happy for robots to help in the automation of ‘mundane’ tasks. At the same time as indicated, 34 per cent would consider a robot “with the right business intelligence” to be better at decision making than senior management.
Speaking of the findings a spokesperson from the TheKnowledgeAcademy.com said: “Technology has become an integral part of the working world. It has allowed individuals to become more efficient in the way they conduct their professional tasks and responsibilities.
