Based on the company’s AI engine - known as Marvis - the solution is intended to identify Wi-Fi issues, correlate events across both wireless and wired domains, as well as auto-alerting following the detection of an anomaly.
A spokesperson for Mist described it as “a new cloud-based micro-service that uses natural language processing for real-time monitoring of mobile client activity.”
Speaking of the product, CTO and co-founder Bob Friday said: “VNA is the next step in our journey towards building an intelligent AI-driven network that simplifies operations, lowers operational expenses and gives unprecedented insight into the wireless user experience.”
He continued: “We started [as a company] with a robust distributed micro-services-based software architecture, built on a cloud-based platform that collects and manages an enormous amount of data. We then implemented a patented methodology for organising and classifying this data into domain specific service levels.
“Mist now delivers a VNA that can answer questions on par with a wireless domain expert.”
