The new agreement will see Vodafone provide the telematics services for the Admiral ‘LittleBox’ online driver safety dashboard. This provides users with a real-time analysis of their own behavior, and subsequent, potentially discounted, insurance premiums. Vodafone is also providing the company with detailed information on crash situations, helping it to digitise its claims process.
Admiral’s head of telematics Gunnar Peters, said: “We always want to encourage safer driving, and telematics gives us the ability to reward good drivers whilst helping all our customers to become better drivers. We are excited by the prospect of having an innovative partnership with Vodafone.”
Vodafone’s director of automotive, Gion Baker said: “The advantages of telematics technology is being felt well beyond the car. We are seeing forward-thinking insurance companies using it as a digital bridge to their customers.”
