Getac gets new EMEA distributor

Getac has unveiled plans to expand via a new distribution deal with Bechtle, Germany's largest IT system house and European IT e-commerce provider.

The company – which produces ruggedised tablets and notebooks - first collaborated with Bechtle three years ago. The German reseller will now distribute Getac's entire product portfolio throughout the UK and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Paul Waddilove, EMEA channel director at Getac, said: "We are pleased to extend cooperation with Bechtle because of its impressive competencies in a wide range of industries, which are ideally suited to our innovative rugged computing solutions.”

Getac was founded in 1989 as a joint venture with GE Aerospace, with the aim of providing electronic devices for the defence sector. It supplies military, police, fire, manufacturing, transportation and logistics sectors.
