KCOM appoints director of product portfolio and technology innovation

IT and communications services provider KCOM has announced the appointment of Tim Meredith as director of product portfolio and technology innovation.

Meredith will provide leadership for the new KCOM product portfolio following the recent consolidation of KCOM’s previous operating brands within a single business. He will be responsible for ensuring that KCOM continues to anticipate the future direction of technology and translate that insight into a consistent roadmap of propositions. His experience ranges from roles such as founder of Next Generation ICT, a business providing transformation consultancy services to service providers and vendors, and as an advisory board member of the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).

Meredith joins KCOM following a period as a consultant. He’s held a number of roles within Daisy Group, where his most recent post was as director of innovation and development, which included responsibility for developing network, UC, cloud and security services. A recent KCOM partnership with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the charity which saves lives at sea, led to the company connecting and upgraded the national wide area network (WAN) of all its 237 lifeboat stations.

“Tim is highly experienced in translating technological change into business opportunity and we are very pleased to have him on the team,” said Bill Halbert, CEO, KCOM Group. “He will be a great asset in integrating the broad offering we have across our business and ensuring it delivers greater value to customers.”

“KCOM is undergoing an exciting phase of transformation and there is a huge opportunity for innovation,” said Meredith, “I am looking forward to working with our customers, the existing KCOM team and the wider industry to create the next generation of solutions that will drive KCOM forward.”
