The school which was originally established in 1570 has a campus comprising five main buildings and sports facilities across a forty-five acre estate and has acquired a set of Motorola SL1600 and DP4400e radios to “improve communication between departments”.
SFL advised the use of the SL1600 for teaching staff and the more robust DP4400e for maintenance staff to upgrade communications across all different departments.
Speaking about the new deal, Bury Grammar School’s estates manager Richard Piper said: “The new radios are to bring the school community closer together, allowing communication in real time between the schools and support services. The school can now instantly communicate efficiently, bringing the community closer together as intended.”
Bury Grammar School group comprises schools for preschool, junior, senior and sixth form studies and notable alumni, known as ‘Old Clavians’, include former England rugby captain Pat Sanderson and former Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel.
