CCTV Monitoring opts for mobile working tech from BigChange
CCTV Monitoring, a construction site CCTV installation and monitoring company, has rolled out a mobile working system from BigChange.
The company’s engineers have been equipped with rugged tablets running BigChange’s JobWatch app, which enables them to be tracked and connected in real-time to a central system, giving CCTV Monitoring’s management team full visibility of their field operations.
The company’s engineers are deployed nationwide to perform site assessments, installations, monitoring and servicing. Based in Emley, West Yorkshire, the company also operates a 24-hour monitoring station for building sites across the UK. CCTV Monitoring’s clients include Kier, Balfour Beatty, Morgan-Sindall, Galliford Try, Willmott Dixon and Skanska.
BigChange’s solution handles CCTV’s entire business process from logging incoming service requests on CRM software, to work scheduling and job allocation, through to routing, navigation and tracking to live job reporting, invoicing and management reporting. This has improved the way resources are allocated as the system gives an instant overview of each engineers’ location, status and capability. Linked to GPS trackers on their vans, engineers use their tablets for navigation, job sheets, timesheets, parts ordering and vehicle safety inspections. The system also generates expected time of arrival on site and job completion reports, including photographs, for CCTV Monitoring’s customers.
