JCB Toughphone re-launches brand
JCB Toughphone is launching two new rugged android smartphones. Returning to the market, the company says that it “led the creation of the rugged mobile phone sector back in 2007.”
New products include the Android 13-based Toughphone, and the Toughphone MAX. Discussing the devices, a spokesperson said: “The JCB Toughphone is tested to MIL-SPEC 810G and has an IP68 rating. It also comes with a Gorilla Glass screen, and rubber corners for extra protection.
“Meanwhile, [the MAX] takes the Toughphone concept to the extreme. It comes with 5G, 256GB ROM/8GB RAM and a 12,200mAh battery for up to a month’s standby.”
Discussing the products, Roy Taylor – leader of the team who developed the original Toughphone – said: “Our history with JCB goes back to 2007 when we launched the original JCB Toughphone. The new JCB Toughphone and Toughphone MAX epitomise the brand values of toughness and technology combined.”
Director of JCB Consumer Products, Matthew Seal, said “The JCB Toughphone range has been designed with our agricultural and construction customers in mind. JCB Toughphones will survive the rigors of hard work and come complete with a high-capacity battery, so there is no need to worry about finding a charging source when on the job”.
