Zebra re-affirms public safety commitment

Zebra is launching what it calls a new “public sector specialisation programme” in EMEA.

According to the company, the programme will support “highly specialised channel partners focused on critical communications, asset tracking, and mobile digitalisation projects,” with a particular emphasis on public safety, central government and defence.

Discussing the programme, a spokesperson for the company said: “Zebra’s channel team has designed the programme to help its partners better serve customers and solve more of their challenges with the right mix of partner support. This includes hardware and software solutions that meet the asset tracking, mobile digitisation, and critical communications needs of customers.

Those solutions include rugged, purpose-built mobile technology that empowers law enforcement, emergency responders, and government agencies with real-time data, secure, mission-critical communication, and seamless interoperability.”

Zebra’s vice president of channel EMEA, Lars Schmermbeck, said: “The specialisation reinforces our commitment to public sector organisations and services, and will catalyse our specialist public sector channel partners to be successful.

“The future of public safety relies on technology-driven efficiency, proactive decision-making, and secure, interoperable communication to empower first responders when every second counts.”

Programme partners include Nuffield Technologies as well as Selectric Nachrichten-Systeme GmbH. The latter provides radio and mobile comms for emergency services in Germany.

According to Zebra, the programme is open to all eligible members of its Partner Connect initiativ, working within public safety, defence and government.
