The cloud-managed product – which is known as the cnPilot e700 – provides Gigabit throughput, and 802.11ac Wave 2 connectivity with 512 client capacity. It also possesses an IP67-rated enclosure.
Speaking of the demands which need to be met by this kind of outdoor WiFi system, market intelligence specialist Ovum’s Daryl Schoolar said: “It must withstand challenging environments, such as high winds, rain, extreme temperature ranges and blowing sand, to prevent internal damage while also being able to support extensive network demands.”
Co-founder of Frontera Consulting Drew Lentz said:“We deployed the cnPilot e700 to provide connectivity to an outdoor food truck park in McAllen, Texas. The results that we have seen over the last two weeks have been encouraging and flawless. We are using Cambium Networks free cloud management solution cnMaestro to monitor and maintain the equipment and wireless connectivity.”
