According to BroadSoft, it’s Business UC-One application will provide the Swiss company with “sustainable UCC (utility and cloud computing) functions”. These include the ability to transform Smart Business Connect from a ‘pure’ IP telephony solution to a virtual collaboration platform.
Smart Business Connect is an integrated comms solution featuring the aforementioned IP telephony, instant messaging, screen sharing, video conferencing and so on. The company operates the entire infrastructure using its own data centres in Switzerland.
In Switzerland, Swisscom offers residential customers a range of digital TV, mobile telecommunications and other services. In the B2B segment, its portfolio includes network, cloud and ICT services.
Speaking of the partnership, head of business products at Swisscom Reto Baschera said: “Smart Business Connect stands for a modern IP telephony solution from the cloud. For Swisscom, it is a logical step to now add UCC functions. In cooperation with BroadSoft, we can offer our customers a real added value and open up new opportunities for simple and flexible collaboration.”
