RugGear creates new upper management position

Rugged mobile device manufacturer RugGear has recruited Oliver Schulte as its new CEO. According to the company, the creation of the new position marks its ambition to operate in the global market.

Schulte will lead expansion of the brand in “key regions,” as well as in “the acquisition of new market share, and the introduction of innovative mobile devices.”

Speaking of the appointment, founder and president of RugGear Maverick Chen said: “With Oliver, we have gained one of the most experienced directors in the industry. His expertise in the field of mobile devices, as well as his network and extensive experience in sales, will help us reinforce the presence of RugGear.”

Schulte said: “For me, the main challenge is to recognise a brand’s potential and develop its strengths, in order to establish it sustainably in the market.

"I think that RugGear has the best conditions to expand its business internationally. In doing so, we will not only surprise the industry with new products, but we will also captivate them with excellent customer service”.

Schulte has previously worked as chief strategy and business development officer for HMD Global, and for companies including HTC and the Bullitt Group.
